Get TikTok — Official Download

# Get TikTok — Official Download If you're here because a viral post promised you a new TikTok feature via some special app version, here's the short version: get TikTok from the official stores below and nowhere else. ## Official TikTok apps **iPhone / iPad:** [TikTok on the App Store](https://apps.apple.com/app/tiktok/id835599320) **Android:** [TikTok on Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zhiliaoapp.musically) These are the only legitimate sources. TikTok is free, and the official app is the only version that receives security updates, new features through the normal rollout pipeline, and account support. ## Why only the official app? Because the alternatives are where the trouble lives: - **Modded APKs** ("TikTok Pro", "banner unlocked" versions, no-watermark mods) are the most common delivery method for mobile malware and spyware. Many instruct you to disable Play Protect first — that instruction alone should end the conversation. - **Account bans.** TikTok's terms prohibit modified clients, and detection is automated. People lose years-old accounts with real followings over a modded app. - **Credential theft.** Unofficial apps can harvest your login, session tokens, and two-factor codes. - **No updates, no support.** A modded app doesn't get security patches, and if something breaks, nobody will help you fix it. New features — including the profile banner currently in testing — arrive through TikTok's own rollout system to official app installs. A modded APK doesn't put you ahead of the line; it puts your account and your phone at risk. Keep auto-updates on, and let the features come to you.
